On Thursday, June 12, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., the Stralsund City Library will once again host a hands-on activity from the event format "Technothek - Technik zum Selbermachen". For children aged 8 and over
This time, children aged 8 and over discover the world of conductive materials with the so-called "Makey Makey". The small circuit board makes it possible to build electronic controls using everyday objects. For example, cups of water can be transformed into a piano, or handmade birds can be made to sing. The aim is to arouse interest in technical contexts in a playful way - without any previous knowledge.
The offer is free of charge, but the number of participants is limited. Registration is recommended.
The Technothek is part of a STEM initiative in cooperation with the Association of German Engineers (VDI), which aims to make scientific and technical topics more accessible to children and young people.
